Mentoring Cell at DDM-CP:

Our Institute constantly strives to ensure that the students are motivated not just in academics, but in various other domains having societal relevance. For this the Institute needs to ensure that the ‘motivators’ are selected and fine-tuned so that they inspire and guide the students in the appropriate manner. This is a two-way process involving both ‘mentors’ and ‘mentees’.

DDM-CP has implemented a ‘Mentoring Cell’ with the following objectives:

1. Provide guidance & support on teaching, research, and mentoring of students.
2. Support professional progress of mentees by sharing the knowledge & experiences of mentors, with a special focus in key areas that involve teaching, research and allied services.
3. Monitor psychosocial matters of the mentees to get/suggest/provide any timely remedy, which may help to prevent further deterioration of mentees’ issues.
4. Enhance the study surroundings by improving the bonding between faculty and students, so as to make the art-of-teaching become more productive and rewarding.

The ‘Mentoring Cell’ involves a committee of members as mentioned below:

^$Denotes the teacher who works as a ‘Friend, Philosopher, and Mentor’ for a batch of about 15 to 25 students, and is given the responsibility of being a ‘Teacher-Guardian’.
