Motto of NSS

The motto of NSS is ‘Not me but you‘. It mainly underscores that the welfare of an individual ultimately depends on the welfare of the society as a whole. This expresses the essence of harmonized living, and underlines the need for selfless service and appreciation of point of view of others, and also highlights the importance being considerate towards fellow human beings.

NSS at DDM College of Pharmacy, Una (HP):

Our Institute has been actively engaged in various social-awareness campaigns in recent times, and in this regard our NSS Group has made noteworthy contributions. We are planning to expand the activities of the current group so that our students would serve as goodwill ambassadors to the rural society at large, spreading the message of humanity and love, and also bring-in social-awareness and better civic sense to the masses.

The primary objectives of NSS at DDM-CP are:

1. To understand the community in which the students live.
2. To understand themselves in relation to their community.
3. Identify the needs and problems of the community
4. Involve the community members in problem solving process.
5. Develop a sense of social- and civic responsibility among themselves.
6. Utilize their knowledge to find practical solutions to the community’s problems.
7. Acquire competence required for group-living and sharing of responsibilities.
8. Develop skills in mobilizing community participation.
9. Acquire the capacity to face natural disasters and emergencies.
10. Expand the awareness towards National Integration and Social Harmony.
