Rules For Conduct

“Just Say NO to Ragging.”

​Ragging is a criminal activity, which takes place inside educational institutions across the Country. It is a systemised form of Human Rights Abuse and exists solely to get perverse pleasure. Ragging in any form could be quite harassing, torturing & intimidating for the new students (freshers), and hence is strictly banned in the Institutions. Students found indulging in such activities will be expelled from the college, and FIR will be lodged against them, if required.

General Rules of Discipline:

1. Students are expected to obey the instructions given by the Principal and teachers from time to time.

2. Students are advised to stick to the dress-code of the college for all activities within the campus (including field visits).

3. Students are expected to display their identity cards while they are within the campus.

4. Students advised to be punctual and regular in attending the classes, practicals and appropriate college events.

5. Students are expected to mark 100% attendance for both theory- and practical components. Concession is provided only on genuine grounds, and with prior permission of the Class-Teacher and/or Principal.

6. Attendance must NOT be less than 80% for both theory & practicals (separate); necessary action may be taken as per University/Board norms.

7. Students are expected to be punctual to classes & practicals.

8. Meeting with Parents of students would be arranged as appropriate. Parents are encouraged to participate in such meetings.

9. Students must keep themselves informed regarding the messages displayed on the Insitute’s Notice Boards and on the Institute’s web-portal.

10. Pasting indecent pictures/posters on any of the Institute’s premises is not allowed.

11. Consumption of tobacco in any form (Smoking, Gutkha, Paan), chewing gum, gambling, consumption of alcohol (in any form), and possession/use of drugs/illegal-substances (hallucinogens) within the Institute’s premises is strictly prohibited, and if a student is found consuming them he/she will be liable for strict action.

12. Usage of mobile phones and other electronic gadgets are forbidden in the Institute’s classroom and labs, and if found they will be confiscated.

13. Students are strictly advised NOT to engage in any such activity that may harm the Institute’s property. If a student is found to do so, it will be critically scrutinized, and the cost of damage would be recovered from the student.

14. Students are advised NOT to leave the campus during the working-hours. In case of genuine reasons/emergency situation, a student may be allowed to leave with prior approval of the concerned authority.

15. Students must be in the prescribed uniform during the working-hours/lectures, and wear the apron during the practicals.

16. Students are strictly advised NOT to indulge in any antisocial-activity/gang-behaviour. Such activities would cause serious damage to the reputation of the Institute.

17. Students are solely responsible for their belongings while they are inside the campus. Institute will NOT be held responsible for any loss.

18. Students are strictly advised NOT to engage in any political- and/or religious activity within the campus.

19. Student’s misconduct/misbehaviour will result in immediate termination from the Institute.

20. Rules, Regulations & Guidelines prescribed by appropriate agencies (State/Central Govt.) will be implemented.

21. Institute is NOT liable for any compensation/claim whatsoever in case of any casualty/injury to a student under any circumstances.

22. Disrespect to National Anthem, National Flag will NOT be tolerated, and strict action will be initiated if a student is found to display any such disrespect.

23. Students are advised to uphold the National Spirit, Social Responsibility and Human Values at all times during their formative years in the Institute.

24. Above-mentioned rules are equally applicable to the students residing in hostel as well.
